I have had my snap on smile for 2 years. It cracked over the weekend while I was eating. I wasn’t eating anything hard or crunchy either. It just cracked. I have used the snap on smile to hide 3 missing teeth. There are some people that didn’t even know I had missing teeth or a snap on smile, so I am concerned about going without it. Is this something that can be fixed or do I have to get a new one altogether? I didn’t have a new snap on smile in my budget this year. Thank you. – Alicia
Alicia – If a Snap-On Smile is worn daily, it will wear out quickly. If you’ve had your appliance for two years and it cracked, it will need to be replaced.
The appliance lasts longer when it is only used on special occasions or periodically. You can ask your dentist how a Snap-On Smile can be made affordable for you. Since you are using the appliance to conceal missing teeth, you can also consider asking about your options for longer-lasting forms of tooth replacement and the possibility of replacing your missing teeth in phases, or in a way that fits your budget.
